Digital present. Green future.
Digitalization does not only mean saving citizens’ time and money, having a more transparent and efficient public administration or preventing corruption. Digitalization also means caring for the natural resources we have inherited and which we must preserve for the future - our country and its natural resources.

L Let us place a mirror in front of the face of Serbia. In its reflection the outlines of eternity can be seen. Our eyes are captivated by the beauty of hills and valleys, winding rapids and mighty rivers, wooded peaks that in their shadows hide the secrets of the time long past, and our ears filled with the roar of golden blades of wheat echoing the lost waves of mythical seas.
We must preserve such treasure. Nurture it for the future. Imprint it into infinity as a seal of permanence and a testimony of natural purity and strength.
We set out wholeheartedly on this journey of preserving what flows from beyond the most persistent and bold thought. With the help of digital tools of today, we have created the foundation on which rests the belief that miracles are indeed possible.

We present to you the green.gov.rs concept. By digitalizing public administration in recent years, we have made the future much greener.
And in the days already behind us, we have created something we can all be proud of:
- Thanks to the development of eGovernment, we have saved tens of thousands of trees in the recent years.
- With the introduction of electronic services for citizens, but also with digitalization and the linking of large databases, we have enabled electronic exchange of documents, so the citizens no longer have to submit the documents themselves, but counter staff and state administration employees can now exchange needed information electronically.
- As a result of that, as well as the “Baby, welcome to the world” service, automatic renewal of health insurance cards, electronic prescription, electronic enrollment in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools, and many other electronic services, we have saved hundreds of millions of sheets of paper.
- All this has led to the preservation of another valuable resource - the time of our citizens. As they did not have to spend an average of one hour on obtaining each document, we have saved them hundreds of millions of hours that they can now dedicate to that which matters the most - themselves and their loved ones.
